Love and be Loved

Growing up in the 80's made me feel privileged to not have seen slavery and the impact of it on society. just reading about the lost rights made me feel ashamed for some reason, although i had nothing to do with it. god made us for a reason and for man kind to try to judge other on their raice, skin tone or even where we come from is beyond me. i may sound like a hippie but, love and be loved for who you are. treat people the way you want to be treated and the world will be a better place.

  1. If sounding like a hippie means sounding like that...sign me up.

I think the root of racism is in being self-righteous; thinking that the self is superior to others, so the arrogance of self inevitably leads to a diminishing value of others.

Love for others what you love for yourself and we will be on our way to living in that better place you talk about.

We all want to work on the world but are we willing to work on our self, we all want to teach others but are we willing to be taught? When we entertain the idea of pointing the index finger to the self rather than to others will we be on our way to living in that better place you talk about.

What an introspective evening we have... :)
